Glorious History of Śrī Vyāsarāja Maṭha
Śrī Vyāsarāja Maṭha is popularly known as Munitraya (मुनित्रय) Maṭha —’the triad of sages’, one of the premier Dvaita Vedanta monasteries (matha) descending from Hamsanāmaka Bhagavanta, followed by SanakādigaLu, Dūrvāsaru, Jagadguru Śrī Madhvācārya (incarnation of Śrī Vāyu), Śrī Jayatīrtha through Śrī Rajendratīrtha. Śrī Vyāsarāja Maṭha is is the unique Pīṭha that has been adorned by Munitrayaru as mentioned in

Śrī Vyāsaraja Maṭha is uniquely identified with its contribution towards various scholarly compositions on Dvaita philosophy based on Vedic science as well as service to the nation and society.
Thirty seven compositions are attributed to Śrī Madhvācārya, including Bhāshya for the Brahma Sutra written by Śrī Vedavyāsaru. Śrī Padmanābhatīrtha followed by Śrī Jayatīrtha wrote interpretation to Sri Madhwācharya’s works. The exposition of Dvaita philosophy continued through the illustrious and unassailable Shri Vyāsaraja whose Magnum opuses namely Tātparya Chandrika, Nyayāmruta and Tarkatāndava, have been considered as building blocks of Dvaita philosophy. The scholarly tradition in Śrī Vyāsarāja Maṭha initiated by yatis like Śrī Padmanābhatīrtha, Śrī Naraharitīrtha, Śrī Mādhavatīrtha, Śrī Akṣobhyatīrtha, Śrī Jayatīrtha, Śrī Vidyādirājatīrtha, Śrī Rājēndratīrtha, Śrī Puruṣottamatīrtha, Śrī Brahmaṇyatīrtha and was continued by Śrī Vyāsatīrtha, Śrī Lakṣmīkāntatīrtha, Śrī Kambālūr Rāmacandratīrtha, Śrī Śēśacandrikācārya, Śrī Bhāṣyadīpikācārya and Śrī Vidyāratnākaratīrtha. Service to society continued to remain a top priority for the yatis adorning the sacred Pīṭha.
Śrī Maṭha has branches located at various parts of the country and is continuing its religious and societal service under the guidance of current Pīṭhadhipati Śrī 1008 Śrī Vidyāśrīśatīrtha.
Śrī Vidyāśrīśatīrtha has established Śrī Vyāsatīrtha Vidyāpīṭha, at Mysuru which is engaged in delivering free education and stay for students interested in learning Dvaita philosophy and Vedic sciences.
Śrī Vidyāśrīśatīrtha has also established Śrī Vyāsatīrtha Research Foundation. Many publications have come out from Śrī Vyāsatīrtha Research Foundation.
